Bereavement is always a distressing time for all those concerned. We like to offer our Clients full support, advice and guidance over this difficult period to sort out any problems which arise in this situation. Our aim is to relieve our Clients of any additional stress which can occur when someone dies.

We can offer advice, obtain Probate of the Will, which then enables the deceased's assets to be dealt with. We can carry out the wishes expressed by the deceased through their Will when disposing of their assets. If the deceased was a tax payer, we can also deal with the Income Tax position to the date of death and seek repayment of Income Tax where due.

If the estate is subject to Inheritance Tax, we complete all Inland Revenue forms, calculate the tax payable, arrange funds to make payment of the tax, which has to be done before Probate can be applied for. We also deal with any amendments to the Inheritance Tax position and obtain clearance from the Inland Revenue when the estate is wound up.

We also offer advice on Deeds of Variation where the terms of the Will can be varied after death to take advantage of any retrospective tax planning.
